Hi Sarah –
Sorry to hear that. Sometimes, the strap mechanism get stuck. For example, the splitter plate can get stuck on something on the back. Remove the seat, examine the back and see if you can get the straps to move freely. If that doesn’t work, I recommend calling the 1-800- number for Britax, they have very good customer service. I have recently purchased a Britax frontier but cannot for the life of me tighten the straps!! I bought it for the harness feature for my 4 year old. Such a disappointment! Any tips for how to fix this, or what seat would do better in a dodge caravan? My daughter is very tall, another reason I bought this seat.
